MINERALS FROM EUROPE
  -Page 1

A few words of explanation about the Greek minerals: we have been trying to clarify a few things.  "Laurium" is the Latin name of the Greek town Lavrion and is not in common use outside North America.  We shall label as Lavrion only those mines within approximately 30 kilometres of Lavrion: Sounion, Plaka, Agia Varvara etc are all a long way from Lavrion!  To further confuse matters, the town of Kamariza (Camereza) has changed its name to Agios Konstandinos (St. Constantine)
