Most micromount collections usually contain their fair share of "suspect" or "substandard" pieces e.g. poor quality crystalisation, poor mounting techniques or incorrect labeling. It takes quite some time to look at all the pieces in a collection to weed them out. Also, there is often considerable duplication of the more common species. We remove those for "give-aways" to young collectors. We are then left with pieces which we feel are worthy of inclusion in someone else's collection. These are what we offer below. We have finished going over one collection and number 2 is about half finished. Others will be added later when time permits. The Averink Collection 1723 pieces in 2.8 cm x 2.8 cm x 2.8 cm hinged clear boxes. All boxes have a black insert in the 1.4 cm bottom. The majority of the specimens are mounted with mineral tack. All have a label on the bottom and another on the inside of the lid. See photo.
